Theatrical economies: Pinched budgets a burden and a boon

Fairfield is tight, buth the show will go on.

Carole Warren, who runs the Danc-Sing Stars studio, recycles dancing shoes among her young dancers and tries to keep costumes as inexpensive as possible.

A the Missouri Street Theatre, Sylvia Gregory, president of the Solano Repertory Company, keeps ticket prices low to make them affordable and has been rewarded with good turnouts at the recent production of “Toyland.”
