The theme of the 2009 Solano County Fair is “60 years and Raisin’ the Steaks.” The Solano County Arts Council is hoping to add considerable sizzle to that steak with an unprecedented showcase of artistic talent.
Gracing both the outdoor community stage and a good-size portion inside the fine arts building, the showcase will feature a wide variety of talented performers ranging from improvisational comedians to live jazz to hip hop dancers to opera.
One of the featured acts will be students from Missouri Street Theatre’s Performing Arts Summer Camp. The seven-week camp is broken into three parts; Broadway Bound, Rock and Roll Mania, and Disney Live that starts next week.
